Course code : EADIS-U01
ECTS Credits : 7,5 Status : Optional for specified Programme
Revised : 10/04 2002 Written : 10/04 2002
Placement : 6-7 semester Hours per week : 4
Length : 1 semester Teaching Language : Danish if no English students are present

Objective : To illustrate methods of: state variable description used for sensitivity analysis of digital filter structures, overflowscaling, noisereduction, stability, limit cycles and overflow oscillations. Multifrequency structures and adaptive filters
Principal Content : Network structures, State variable structures, Stability, Limit cycles, Decimation, Interpolation, Zoom, Lagrange filter, Multi Frequency systems, Quantization effects, Noise reduction, Processors, Filter programs.
Teaching method : Class teaching with active participation by the students. Part of the lesson will be used for laboratory exercises with demonstration of real-time signal processing and use of filter design programs.
Required prequisites : Elementary knowledge of filter characteristics, sampling and modulation. The course is a natural add on to the teaching of FIR an IIR filters in the previous semesters.
Recommended prerequisites : linear algebra.
Relations : Knowledge from dis can be used in digital communication in general.
Type of examination : Oral examination
External examiner : Internal
Marking : Scale of 13
Remarks : The examination is a 15-minute presentation of a subject chosen by the student and an oral discussion based on a question drawn by the student from questions already known. It is possible to do a final project in connection with ADIS.
Teaching material : Notes written by the teacher (IHK bookshop)
