Radiokommunikation (Efterår 2003)

Kursuskode : ERAKE-U01
ECTS Point : 7,5 Status : Tilvalg for den valgte retning
Revideret : 05/04 2002 Oprettet : 01/01 1995
Placering : 6-7 semester Timer pr. uge : 4
Længde : 1 semester Undervisningssprog : Engelsk

Målsætning : The student should be able to:
-design microwave amplifiers using S-parameters.
-understand basic phase locked loops.
-understand RF-oscillators.
-take non-linearity and noise into account when designing
communication systems.
-understand the propagation of electromagnetic fields
Hovedindhold : S-parameters.
Phase Locked Loops.
Oscillators.
Non Linearity.
Propagation of Radiowaves.
Modulation and Systems.
Undervisningsform : 40% lectures/dialog and 60% practical design or communications planning.

During the study module the students will design and test an amplifier as one of the assignments. The other assignment
running throughout the semester will be in the subject of communications planning (signal to noise ratio - modulation -
antennas - and a lot of other subjects).
Krævede forudsætninger : Knowledge of transmission lines, reflection coefficients, Smith Chart, basic antennas and propagation, electric and magnetic fields and
noise. (Like TLAE and ENAME).
Knowledge of modulation forms, analog and digital.
Anbefalede forudsætninger : -
Relationer : -
Prøveform : Kursusarbejde
Censur : Intern
Bedømmelse : 13-skala
Bemærkninger : Evaluation:
The evaluation is based upon
- the practical design case,
- the communications assignment and
- a presentation of the communications assignment.
A mark in the 13-scale is given in each evaluation.

Grading:
The study module mark is the average of the 3 marks.

Students following the Danish line are allowed to hand in reports in Danish.
