Objective : To make the students understand the character of a production engineers tasks, working conditions and related types of qualifications, especially about co-operation skills and interdisciplinarity/crossfunctionality.

To practise working in groups, solving practical problems and draw up concentrated, written solutionsreport within limited time, to train the students in making production pre-planning for an existing product in a going company.
Principal Content : Project time- and resourse planning.
Calculate different processes technicaly. Make economic desissions and calculate the influence of these desissions on mangement-, layout- and economic factors. Statistics in practise.
Teaching method : Groups of three to four students work together to deliver a report to the topmangement.

Remarks : Verbal project defence, first against an opponent group, and later against the teachers and the external examinator who both asks indiviadually and finally gives individual evaluation for the project, the opponent work and the defence.
Teaching material : All 1., 2. And 3. semester books and "Ingeniørhøjskolernes Procesdatabase" on the internet. Suppliers catalogs and the library.
