Objective : To provide the students with knowledge of basic business concepts and models (managerial economics).
To provide the students with the skills needed to understand and estimate the financial perspectives in the different functions of a company as well as the teamwork between these functions.
Principal Content : Managerial economics as a concept and the boundaries of the subject.
Managerial economics models
The objectives of different kinds of companies
Technical production objectives
Cost functions
Demand theory
Parameter theory
Elementary principles of optimization
Pricing under different market forms
Price differentiation
Competition funds
Description of the company’s financial situation, including financial direction, budgetting, annual accounting and problems in statements of profit and estimation of assets.
Teaching method : Lectures, assignments supplemented by exercises.

Recommended prerequisites : Passed Macro Economics and Mathematics 1.
Relations : Prerequisite for Project Unit 4.
