Objective : | The purpose of the course is to give student a more extensive knowledge about the design and application of machine elements. This in order to use the elements, solve mechanical engineering problems, evaluating some different solutions, choose and design a suitable construction. | ||
Principal Content : | Calculation of Hertz and Stribech contact stress for spheres and cylinders Design of rollers and wheels Straight bevel gear, tooth proportions, force analysis Design of plastic spur gear Planet gear, principle, gear ratio and force analysis Starting and stopping of machinery Loss and efficiency |
