| Objective : | To develop necessary skills for carrying through a project involving different disciplines, including both new and previously read subjects. | ||
| Principal Content : | Design of a machine or an apparatus satisfying the requirements for the specific process or function chosen. Specifications for the solution must be established; existing solutions must be described. The choice of solution results from a thorough analysis of possibilities. Sketching and design must be accompanied by a detailed analysis of selected parts. Standards and directives must be met. Environmental considerations must be made. | ||

| Remarks : | Individual exam. Marks are based on: 1. The written report. 2. Oral examination of each student. A teacher will be responsible for the choice of project subject and for the general co-ordination of supervisors. A number of teachers will be connected with the course. Each group of students must deliver a written report (two copies). In an appendix the progress of the project is described together with a signed statement of each student’s share in the project (%). The local network may be used in the communication between all involved parties. Each group of students will be allotted a permanent working space equipped with computer facilities. | ||
