Objective : | To provide the student a basic understanding of theories, principles and protocols related to mobile data communications based on wireless networks. To give the student a knowledge and hands-on experience regarding basic digital electronics. To provide the student an understanding of the use, integration and applications of wireless systems and technologies in the business domain. |

Principal Content : | Wireless Systems and Technologies: Wireless Communications. Radio Spectrum. Line utilization. Multiple access protocols as used in GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G. MAC sublayer protocols. WLANs, Bluetooth, ZigBee. Internetworking. Mobility. Quality of Service and 3G service classes. Digital Electronics: Binary number system, logic gates, combinational circuits, Karnaugh maps, LAB. Mobile Commerce: Marketing essentials. Theory and principles. Business applications, the electronic marketplace. |
