Objective : The objective of the study module is to provide an introduction to and overview of a satellite system. The study module will consider the entire system, thereby introducing all the significant aspects that must be considered when designing or contributing to a space mission. The fundamentals of satellite communication will be covered, including the satellite and its environment, achieving and maintaining the orbit and communication with ground stations.

Teaching method : The teaching form will consist of a series of lectures and a course assignment undertaken in groups with approximately half the available time spent on each. The teaching will be in English but students following the Danish line may write their report in Danish.
Required prequisites : Documented knowledge corresponding to TVP4.

Remarks : The examination is oral and a group examination based upon the the course assignment report. An individual mark is given, according to the 13 scale.
