| Objective : | The aim is to give the students a basic knowledge of high voltage, i.e. the influence of the electrical field in high voltage equipment in the aspect of corona and flash-over. The purpurse of the course is also to give knowledge of the calculation for dimensioning and protection of equipment for over voltage/lightning protection, and to gain an insight into practical lightning protection. The aim is also to give the students a basic knowledge of high voltage tests. | ||
| Principal Content : | Electrical fields, The Flash-over-mechanism in gasses with high and low pressure, Partial discharges, Lightening and Traveling waves theory. Lightning protection and High voltage tests |
