Objective : The student"s should be able to apply elemetary mathematical rutines and procedures in fomulating, analysis and solving of problems present in different areas of the Export Engineering programme. The aim for the teaching is to improve the student"s understanding of mathematics as a descriptive and modelling tool in physical, technical and economic areas.
Principal Content : Numbers and sets. Equations and inequalities. Roots and squares. Computation of interest. Analytic geometry. Trigonometry. Vectors in the plane. Theory of function. Trigonometrical functions and polynomials. Introduction in use of calculator TI 89.
Teaching method : Class instruction with one weekly assignment.

Relations : Prerequisite for FM-2 (Physics-1 and Mathematics-2) and DØK (Business Economics)

Remarks : Students are allowed to bring textbooks, lecture notes, etc., into the examination room.
