Objective : | To develop students" knowledge of the basic principles and models in marketing, with emphasis on providing a framework for analyzing recurrents problems in marketing managementin a business-to-busness context. Mechanics of materials: To give the students fundamental knowledge in dimensioning mechanical constructions which are loaded by tension, compression, shearing, torsion and bending. Emphasis is placed on the connection between mechanics of materials and engineering materials. (Material testing, safety factor and allowable stress). Engineering materials: To give the students general knowledge with regard to metallurgy including important construction materials. An addition the course aims to enable the students to consider alternative materials such as ceramics, composites, plastics and semiconductors. To gain knowledge of the phases and elements of product development. To gain knowledge in the field of OM (operation Management). | ||
Principal Content : | Marketing: Market Research in a product development perspective Products, services and brands Understanding and setting the price Marketing channels and distribution Promotion, personal selling and advertising Marketing planning and marketing economics Consumerbehavior Organizational buying behavior Mechanics of materials: Axial load, normal stress and strains in mechanical constructions, Hooke´s law, Poisson´s ratio, simple dimmensioning, safety factor, allowable stress, torsion, pure bending of beams, dimensioning of beams and rods. Engineering materials: The structure of metals, atomic bonding in solids, the structure of crystalline solids, phase diagrams, mechanism of strengthening, material testing, thermal processing, metal alloys.
