Objective : To establish further knowledge and mathematical methods for solving engineering problems, and get acquainted with modern methods for solving mathematical problems.
Principal Content : Matrix eigenvalue problems and diagonalisation Laplace transformation Fourier series Mathematical modeling and system analysis Simulation using Matlab and Simulink
Teaching method : Class teaching and assignments One set of home work assignments a week 4-5 compulsory lab-assignments with Matlab/Simulink.
Required prequisites : MAT1 passed and MAT2 enrolled
Recommended prerequisites : MAT1 and MAT2 passed.
Relations : Prerequisite for several courses ex. STYRE2 at EP.
Type of examination : Two hours written examination
External examiner : Internal
Marking : 7 step scale
Remarks : Common course for M and EP. Compulsory assignments must be delivered on time and approved in order to take the exam.
