Objective : To introduce the students to the concepts of project management and to carry through exercises in problem solving related to project management.

The student will at the end of course be able to:
- Understand project management as a managerial task
- Understand strategic project management, project programs and an organizational project office
- Scope a project. Break down a project from overall project to individual activities
- Plan the projects time-frame from start to completion using generally known and accepted techniques as e.g. Gantt charts and Activity-on-Arrow diagrams
- Estimate time and cost of project activities and of the overall project
- To make a budget of project revenue and costs
- Track the financial and time performance of a running project and perform a risk analysis of the project
- Evaluate a company"s project management skills

Taking part in all exercises is compulsory.
Oral examination based on the general theory of project management and a group project carried out during the semester. This course is part of the International Business Semester (IBS).

In order to participate in the examination the student must follow the course actively and be present in 80% of the lessons as a minimum. Furthermore the student must deliver all mandatory tasks during the semester.
