Principal Content : | Depending on the character and the contents of the Final Project, the professional matter could for example be described as follows: - Drawing up of a concrete major task (PILOT-project) based on a recognised and exposed problem complex or formulated task. A problem formulation must be defined and it has to be explained, how the project is intended to be realised, which methods are expected to be used, and a timetable must be proposed for the expected progress of the project work. - Giving a description, analysis, demarcation and modelling of functions and processes behind a recognised problem complex or formulated task. - Laying down a specification to the problem solution or task fulfilment. - Drawing up, discussion, evaluation and giving priority to solution possibilities. - Drawing up action plans for the implementation of an elected solution or a set of solutions. - Implementation of a task solution and a follow-up on the effect. - Involving to a nesessary extend in the projects single phases the competition, the capability, the costs, and the external and working environment.
Teaching method : | It is recommended that the final project work is carried out of two-person groups. Each group will get a supervisor associated (teacher from the P-department). On the initative of the students the supervisor will follow the progress and the contents of the project. Furthermore, the students can get professional advice from other teachers, but the responsibility for the progress and contents of the Final Project is placed alone with the students and the supervision is an offer. During the 6th semester, the teacher group connected with the PILOT-projects will arrange 2-3 meetings about the final project. The information given is about general conditions for the final project and how to find a relevant and suitable project item. The Final Project implies a working effort pr. student of at least 600 hours.
Required prequisites : | - The compulsory courses and projects from the 4 first semesters must be passed. - The engineering traineeship must be completed and approved. Pass or participation in the lessons/examination for optional courses corresponding to at least 20 ECTS points must be fulfilled. It is a precondition for completing the Final Project, that the PILOT-project has passed Normally, this will take place during the 6th semester
