Objective : To enable the student to: -Chose between traditional and advanced materials and manufactoring tecnologies from the variables user demands, production and economy.
Principal Content : The following topics are included: The tecnological, the economical and the enviromental charekteristisc of the manufactoring processes in combination with the suitable materials (Steel, Alu, Cu.alloyes, Wood/Fibres, Plastic and composites.
Teaching method : Project-organised interdisiplinary teaching with group-based projects working with pre-production planning of situations mainly from student engineering practice periode
Required prequisites : Engineering practice periode done.
Recommended prerequisites : All basic parts of the study completed
Relations : The course is a very good training before the final project, but not a must.

Marking : Scale of 13
Remarks : The oral examination is based on the main project written by the group, burt it will be checked that all the group members have participated in the project.
