Objective : To give the studens an introduction to fundamentel macoeconomic theory and furthermore to enhance the participants knowledge of the main objectives and means of economic and industrial policy.
Principal Content : The basic relationship between employment, inflation, industrial competitiveness and the balance of trade. Macroeconomic policy (Fiscal- and monetary policy). Danish industrial policy in a global competitive environment. The relationship and interdependence between the private and the public sector. Topical subjects within current economic developments
Teaching method : Lectures, discussions, group tasks/projects and written reports. The teaching in economic theory (approximately 75% of the course) is primarily structured as lectures supplemented by discussions and written reports.With regard to current economic developments the students are expected to participate in group projects working with topics of their own choice
Required prequisites : Completion of ØKO1 (or equivalent)

Remarks : Approval is granted or denied on the basis of written reports, group projects and appearance.
