The Engineering Practice should motivate and further encourage the student to get the most out of the elective subjects during the rest of the studies. It is a part of the objective that the student should find an Engineering company himself/herself. |
Principal Content : | The B. Eng. education is broad and the Engineering Trainee will be a relevant “employee” in many different types of companies. Therefore it is not possible to be very specific about the content of the Engineering Practice. However it is a prerequisite that the Engineering Trainee takes part in one or more of the following areas: • Planning • Realization of solutions to technical problems or projects. • Participation in management and cooperation. |
Teaching method : | The Engineering Practice takes place in a company. The company assigns a supervisor to the student. | ||

Remarks : | The supervisor and the Practice Coordinator evaluate PRA 1. The approval of the Engineering Practice is carried out by evaluating if the student has worked the sufficient number of hours during the semester. The student must meet with the supervisor once a week. The supervisor sends his evaluation to the Practice Coordinator. The student must hand in a report about the Engineering Practice to the Practice Coordinator. The report must describe the relevance of the education at IHK with respect to the practice and if new technologies and software are used in the company. Also information about the difference between working in a company and following the education at IHK. We will use the information to evaluate our educations. The practice report must be sent to eit@ihk.dk All of it so we can use the practice to adjust our teaching. |
