Objective : | Providing ability to apply commercially available finite element programs in a qualified manner, primary in connexion with structural analysis. For a specific problem this implies the ability to: - evaluate the suitability of the finite element method - choose an adequate analusis and model - establish the requisite input data - carry out a qualified engineering evaluation of the results. | ||
Principal Content : | The most crucial parts of the fundamental FEM theory. Orientation about structure models and involved element types. Orientation about commercial available FEM programs. Introduction to FEM program (Mechanica (applikation to ProE)) Solving minor projects by using Mecanica. | ||
Teaching method : | Project combined with appropriate lectures. | ||
