Objective : | To develop students" knowledge of the basic principles and models with emphasis on providing tools and a framework for product development and design. To gain knowledge of the phases and elements of product development. To sufficient knowledge in the field of OM (operation Management) in order to corporate with the marketing – and production employees. | ||
Principal Content : | Product development and design as variable integrated product development The phases of product development. Information searches. Documentation. Techniques for optimizing the product. Main Contents: The Concept of Concurrent Engineering, Project Management and - Planning, Product Specification, Identifying Customer Need, EU directives, Standards, Patents, Product Variety, Modularity, Assembly, Product Development Economics, Field research, Competitor analysis, Scandinavia Design, User interactions, Concept Génération, Creativity, Concept Selection and test, Prototyping, Business visit Operation Management, Quality Management, ISO 9000, Introduction to the group project, How to report the project. |
