| Principal Content : | Mathematics: (50%) - Functions of one or more variables. - Linear equations and matrix calculation. - Differential equations closely connected with the work of the civil engineer. - Harmonic oscillations. - Fundamental statistical concepts.. - Descriptive statistics. - Distribution functions. - Regression analysis. Mechanics: (25%) - Newton´s laws used on particles and solid bodies in linear and curved movements. - Conservation rules for energy, momentum and angular momentum. - Physical units for work, heat, energy, power, force and pressure. - Hydraulic calculations of filled tubes. Thermodynamics (20%) - Heat transfer in walls and tubes. - Moisture in the air and in constructions -I-x diagrams. EDP: (5%) - Solution of mathematical problems by means of MathCAD. - Spreadsheet for calculation of heat losses in houses. | ||
| Teaching method : | Theory, exercises. Solution of at least seven engineering exercises. EDP must be used en the solution of some exercises. | ||
