| Objective : | In practice a Production Engineer have to make decisions, about Operation and Development of Production & Inventory Control Systems, with basis in a Structure- and Development thinking emphasizing the flow of materials and Customer Satisfaction, bases on understanding of the impact from leadership on Operation and Development. After completing the course it is expected that the student can explain: - Methods and Models for making decisions about Purchase-, Operations- and Distribution Lot Siez in different Production Environments. - Methods for administrative control of inventories. - Purpose, informationsinput and methods for calculations in RCCP, MRP and CRP and the use of the output in relation to the Total Planning Hierarchy. - Methods for Shop Floor Control, especially emphasizing control of Lead Time,Queue Length and priority of Order Dispatching. - Leadershipinfluence on effectiveness and quality in operation and developing Production & Inventory Control Systems. | ||
| Principal Content : | - Production & inventory Control Concepts. - Models for determination of parameters for Purchase and production Orders Control. - Aggregate Inventory Control with emphasize on performancemeasurement. - Distribution Inventory Control models and methods. - Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Capacity Planning (RCCP and CRP). - Production Activity Control emhpasizing the leadershipinfluence on operation and development. | ||
| Teaching method : | Lectures (teacher and students), group work, discusions and laboratory exercises. 70-80 hours class teaching. 60-80 hours homework. | ||
