5. Describe D/A and A/D converters and their typical application.
6. Describe characteristics of basic digital systems and logic gates.
7. Describe the main functions of a microcontroller.

II:
8. Describe the characteristics and application principles of commonly used motors and actuators.
9. Describe the characteristics and application of commonly used power semiconductors like: Rectifiers, Thyristors, Triacs and FETs.
10. Describe and analyze typical applications for microcontrollers.

III:
11. Analyze and describe the application of frequency response and feedback in simple circuits.
12. Analyze and describe the characteristics of operational amplifiers, their typical applications and considerations concerning stability.
13. Analyze and apply simple passive circuits for steady state and transients properties.
14. Analyze and apply simple combined analog and digital circuits for signal conditioning.
