Objective : | To develop the students ability to work professionally in an interdisciplinary and international team in an integrated engineering context. Learning objectives: A student who has fully met the objectives of the course will be able to: 1. Demonstrate the ability to apply technical knowledge in a realistic, extensive engineering project. 2. Demonstrate the ability to plan and run a team-based project. 3. Demonstrate the ability to work actively and efficiently in an international team and contribute with an extensive, high quality work. 4. Demonstrate the ability to deepen and increase his/her technical knowledge during the project work. 5. Take responsibility for a project work and be able to define the important elements of the project. 6. Show the ability to write a well-structured and clear report. 7. Show the ability to give a clear and well-structured oral presentation. 8. Be able to explain the entire project work and process in an adequate and well-structured way. 9. Be able to vouch for the choices made during the progress of the project. 10. Demonstrate an extensive understanding of the completed project work |

Principal Content : | Main structure: 30% of the time: compulsory, intensive and project supportive courses/seminars and, 70% of the time: group project work in interdisciplinary and international teams of 4-6 students. Main Contents: Environmental subjects European law – Intellectual property Rights in Europe Communication skills Teambuilding/teamwork techniques International Marketing Project Management Project Planning Systematic Innovation/Engineering Product Design Languages (English and Danish) Cultural and Social Activities Industrial Project (team based) |

Teaching method : | Courses: Class room teaching or seminars. Project work: group work with supervisors |

Required prequisites : | For Export Engineering students: 1st, 2nd and 3rd semester and at least the PE-4-3 exam and/or the PE-5-3 exam must be passed |

Recommended prerequisites : | For non-Export Engineering students: Two years of university studies completed. If English is not the mother tongue, a minimum score of 550 TOEFL points, or equivalent |

Remarks : | As an adequate international and academic mix of students is essential, special conditions regarding the maximum number of Danish and foreign students will apply.
