Principal Content : | Thermodynamic properties and laws. Conservation of mass and energy. Control volume and control mass. Phase diagrams and cycles. Power plants, engines, refrigerators and other systems for energy conversion. Efficiency. Exergy. Gas mixtures. General modelling and simulation. | ||
Teaching method : | The teaching is based on "learning by doing". There will be introductory and summing up lectures. Project work in small groups includes assignments, workshop and lab exercises, computer simulations, use of internet search engines and case studies. | ||
