Objective : | To acquire new knowledge in a major area of mechanical engineering, such as product development, machine design, energy processes or materials, where the quality of the project work is the main issue. A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to: • Demonstrate independent critical reflection on the limitations of the proposed solution of the problem at hand. • Apply technical knowledge to real-life complex problems. • Acquire a holistic understanding and use non-technical aspects. • Use knowledge and experience from the first four semesters of the study programme. • Make a timetable for the completion of the various steps of the project course. |
||

The project group should keep the supervisor(s) updated on the progress of the project.
Required prequisites : | All the obligatory courses and semester projects should be passed.
Relations : | The individual project in mechanical engineering should be related to the major topics of the mechanical engineering programme. This course can also be related to the Bachelor Project and can therefore serve as an introduction to the topics needed in the Bachelor Project.
Type of examination : | Oral examination based on a project
External examiner : | None
Marking : | 7 step scale | ||
