Objective : | On the basis that the construction process is characterized by unforeseeable events, the students acquire knowledge and understanding of the planning processes for project management and execution of construction. The student must be able to solve common tasks associated with project management and building management and contribute to cooperation and conflict resolution in this connection. In the final exam, the students who have fully met the objectives of the course are able to: • Apply the client requirements in ICT notice relating to the construction process from procurement to delivery • Describe the planning processes for project management and execution of construction • Use of Facilities management in an organization with many buildings as well as for individual buildings • Apply quality assurance in the execution phase • Report and reflect on the prepared course work • Reflect on the group"s cooperation focusing on the interaction between international students and Danish students |

Teaching method : | Review and practice tasks. Presentations, discussion and tutorial. External presenters. Course work and training projects solved in groups of 3-4 students. The students shall determine, in cooperation with the teacher, content and scope so that part of the work is defined within the more teacher-led course work and part is defined within the more independent project work. Supervisors contribute to the group formation that integrates foreign and Danish students. |

Remarks : | The assessment is based on course work completed during the course and a conversation about these in relation to the professional content of the course. The course is a continuation of the courses FUA on 3 semester and LES at 4 semester where the topics project web, quality assurance, working environment, forms of cooperation and conflict resolution, building logistics, tender calculation are introduced and discussed, among other things. For groups mixing exchange students and Danish students the evaluation will also focus on differences in group members" professional, linguistic and study cultural background, as well as the group"s initiatives to overcome these differences. |
