Projekt 3 i kredsløbsteori og analog elektronik (Forår 2013) |
|||
Kursuskode : | EPROE3-U1
ECTS Point : | 10 | Status : | Obligatorisk |
Revideret : | 29/03 2012 | Oprettet : | 29/05 2008 |
Placering : | 3. semester | Timer pr. uge : | 8 |
Længde : | 1 semester | Undervisningssprog : | Engelsk |
Målsætning : | Purpose: To practise fundamental concepts, theories, components and methods inside the field of analog electronics. Through project work strengthen general engineering qualifications and procedures: Cooperation, time planning, specification, analysis and design, modeling, simulation, hardware construction, test, documentation. Learning outcomes: The student must be able to: 1. Use relevant concepts, theories, components and methods in relation to given projects. 2. Design, calculate, analyze, model, simulate, construct and test analog hardware. 3. Plan, specify, cooperate in a group, document and use relevant engineering terms and language. 4. Relate specifications, calculations, simulations and measurements and draw clear and relevant conclusions. 5. Hypothesize the reasons for differences between simulated and actual results and discuss the hypothesis from relevant theory or from relevant simulations and tests. |
||
Hovedindhold : | Introduction to test and measurement software (Agilent VEE) DC, Time- and frequency domain measurements. Introduction to the projects. One or more projects are carried out inside the field of analog electronics. The projects may include transducers and will be related to some of the topics taught in CIA and ELFE3. From a given project definition the student must go through the engineering (partly iterative) process: Specification*, analysis and design, modeling, simulation, verification, design, test and documentation. *To ensure coverage of some of the topics taught in CIA, the specifications will, to some extent, be given in the project definition handed out by the supervisor. |
||
Undervisningsform : | Overview lectures in the beginning of semester (~3 weeks) and before each new project. Project work in groups. Supervision in groups. |
||
Krævede forudsætninger : | Documented knowledge similar to VKET, MATE1 and DSM2. CIA and ELFE3 are followed simultaneously (or before). |
||
Relationer : | The projects in PROE3 have relation to the content of CIA and ELFE3. The projects in PROE3 are timed with the contents of CIA. PROE3 is a prerequisite for PROE4 and all the following study modules in the field of analog and power electronics.
Prøveform : | Se under bemærkninger
Censur : | Ekstern | ||
Bedømmelse : | 7-trinsskala
Bemærkninger : | Oral examination based on a presentation and a project report. Grades are given as follows from a general impression and are based on the reports, the presentation, the demonstration (the functionality of constructed analog hardware) and the individual exam: 02 For a minimum of basic knowledge and routine corresponding to the learning outcomes point 1 to 3. 7 For knowledge, routine and behavior corresponding to the learning outcomes point 1 to 3. 12 For knowledge, routine, behavior and reflective skills corresponding to all the learning outcomes point 1 to 5. - Exam: Oral examination based on group-made products (Reports and presentation including demonstration of constructed analog hardware) Remarks: The students must carry out 2 smaller assignments and one project. The assignments must be approved to enter for the examination. The project must be signed and handed in before deadline to enter for the examination. In the beginning of the semester the students form their own project groups. The group size should be 3-5 students. Under special circumstances, the teacher may allow smaller group sizes. A supervisor will be assigned to each group. The supervisor follows the group and is in charge as examiner. If more teachers are involved in the course, the groups are divided among the teachers, by the teachers. Students that have not formed a group, before a deadline set by the teacher, are considered to be inactive in the group work and may be refused to enter for the examination. If a group member several times fails to fulfill agreements made by the group, the group may recommend exclusion. If a student doesn"t contribute to the project-work, the teacher may refuse to enter the student for the examination. On the same day as the examination, before the examination, the group must together present the projects, including a demonstration of constructed analog hardware. 5 minutes per group is assigned for the demonstration. Each student is allocated 10 minutes for their presentation. The group is required to coordinate the presentations in such a way that the major aspects of the project are covered, that the presentations are different and that each individual presentation has a good technical span. At the presentation the external censor and the supervisor will be the audience. The supervisor takes notes for the examination. Examination: Each student is allocated 5 minutes. The examination is individual. The supervisor and the external examiner pose questions inspired by the presentation, but reports may also be discussed. After the examination students, who wish so, may request (by email) a consultation after the exam, where the exam and the project report can be discussed with the supervisor. At this consultation, students that have not passed the exam will be guided on how to work purposeful towards passing a new exam. The consultation will normally take place in the beginning of the following semester. |
