| Principal Content : | The focus of the course will be on enhancing the students’ oral communication skills through emphasis on pronunciation, vocabulary and on how to make a professional presentation. Special attention will thus be given to activities which strengthen such skills. Some homework will be required. The students will be required to give a presentation on a chosen subject before class in order to train their ability to express themselves clearly and precisely in a communication situation involving active listeners. This also serves to prepare the students for delivery of the oral presentation at the end of their semester. While the emphasis is placed on oral communication, special needs or problems relating to thesis writing may be included in the course, subject to consensus in class. |
