ECTS Point : | 7,5 | Status : | Tilvalg for den valgte retning |
Revideret : | 22/12 2011 | Oprettet : | 22/12 2011 |
Placering : | 5. - 7. semester | Timer pr. uge : | 12 |
Længde : | 1 semester | Undervisningssprog : | Engelsk hvis der er engelsksprogede tilstede |
Målsætning : | Objective To give the students a detailed understanding of superconductivity concepts. The students will be able to consider theoretical and experimental problems. As an introduction, the course describes the historical development and some practical applications of superconductors. Thereafter follows a description of the most important physical properties of superconductors. The different magnetic properties of type 1 and type 2 superconductors are described in very much detail. Furthermore, the course describes how to measure electric and magnetic properties of superconductors. Goals There is a detailed list of goals (formulas, figures and examples) for each chapter in the course. The students should be able to explain the goals in the assignments and in oral form at the exam: Assignment (group) 1. Explaining the theory using formulas and figures. Oral examination at the blackboard using figures (individual) 2. Write and scantily explain the most fundamental details from the list of goals 3. Explain most of the details from the list of goals 4. Explain all details from the list of goals almost perfectly |

Undervisningsform : | Class hours two times per week a week (in total ca 5 hours): The teacher presents theory and describes experiments etc. The students present a small assignment after each chapter is finished The students present subjects from the list of goals Homework and group work (ca. 7 hours a week) Preparing of assignments and training in presentation. During the semester the groups should hand-in one assignment for each of the chapters in the course. In an assignment the group describes the theory and eventually experiments in a chapter using text and figures corresponding to the list of goals for that chapter. The group presents the assignment for the class when they hand-in the assignment. |

Krævede forudsætninger : | The 10 ECTS point Electrophysics course at CITE, IHK
Anbefalede forudsætninger : | -
Relationer : | Circuit theory and electronics, electric motors, transformers, high voltage devices.
Prøveform : | Mundtlig prøve
Censur : | Intern | ||
Bedømmelse : | 7-trinsskala
Bemærkninger : | The groups must write one assignment per chapter, which should be presented, hand-in and approved to enter for the exam. In the beginning of the semester the students form groups. The group size should be 3-5 students. A student, that does not work active in a group, and is not present three times during the group presentations, are considered to be inactive and may be refused to enter for the exam. If a student had the course earlier, the student should not follow the classes, but contact the teacher within a week after the semester start. The student picks a question corresponding to one of the presentations from a list. There may be one or more presentations for a chapter depending on the size of the chapter. The student presents at once the presentation. It should take 15 minutes. Then the teacher and censor ask questions within the full pensum in 5-10 minutes. The evaluation is based on the oral presentation and on the quality of the assignment. The grade is based on the 7 step scale (12 is maximum) 2 is given for the fulfilment of learning objectives 1 - 2 7 is given for the fulfilment of learning objectives 1 - 3 12 is given for the fulfilment of learning objectives 1 - 4 |
