| Objective : | To give the students basic knowledge on materials (metals, ceramic, polymers and composites) used for mechanical engineering necessary to make a well founded material selection based on standards and material suppliers specifications. | ||
| Principal Content : | Metal (Metallurgy) Ceramic Materials testing / measuring of materials technological properties Heat treatment / Surface treatment Corrosion Standards and material suppliers specifications. Environmental aspects, lifetime assessment. | ||
