Objective : | The aim of the traineeship is to give the student insight into export engineering related activities in a company, as specified by the following points: The student, employed by a Danish or foreign company, should have the opportunity to combine practical export engineering activities with the theoretical courses at the college in an interdisciplinary context. The student should be able to gain insight into the company culture, the sales and marketing methods, and the application of business practice. The student should have the opportunity to increase his/hers competence in a foreign language, as well as to expand their knowledge of the culture of a foreign country. The student should obtain a general knowledge of engineering activities within electrical and/or mechanical engineering. | ||
Principal Content : | The traineeship will normally include one or more of the following areas: Introduction to the company, its products and markets. Introduction to the company"s sales and marketing, including sales strategies, market analyses and direct export sales. Participation in specific market analyses, competitor analyses and market demand analyses for new and existing markets. Introduction to engineering design methods, technical problem solving, production management and quality control. | ||

Relations : | PRA is a prerequisite for the final project, AFP. Futhermore, the eighth semester"s project work is based on experience from the traineeship. | ||
