Objective : | To illustrate methods of: state variable description used for sensitivity analysis of digital filter structures, overflowscaling, noisereduction, stability, limit cycles and overflow oscillations. Multifrequency structures and adaptive filters | ||
Principal Content : | Network structures, State variable structures, Stability, Limit cycles, Decimation, Interpolation, Zoom, Lagrange filter, Multi Frequency systems, Quantization effects, Noise reduction, Processors, Filter programs. | ||
Teaching method : | Class teaching with active participation by the students. Part of the lesson will be used for laboratory exercises with demonstration of real-time signal processing and use of filter design programs. | ||
Required prequisites : | Elementary knowledge of filter characteristics, sampling and modulation. The course is a natural add on to the teaching of FIR an IIR filters in the previous semesters. | ||
Recommended prerequisites : | linear algebra. | ||
Relations : | Knowledge from dis can be used in digital communication in general. | ||

Remarks : | The examination is a 15-minute presentation of a subject chosen by the student and an oral discussion based on a question drawn by the student from questions already known. It is possible to do a final project in connection with ADIS. | ||
