Placement : 3. semester Hours per week : 4
Length : 1 semester Teaching Language : Danish

Objective : The main objective of this course is to give the student a general knowledge about 2D and 3D CAD systems ( Pro/Engineer or AutoDesk’s Eventor) and train them to be skilfull endusers who would be in a position to use the CAD/CAM technology in an efficient way and thus increase the productivity in the Design/Draftning department.
Principal Content : General introduction to some of the most common CAD/CAM systems - Pro/Engineer and Autodesk’s AutoCAD-2000 / ENVENTOR. A general knowledge of how the CAD/CAM system works in the modeling process of a part/design. Use the different design tools within the CAD-system – extrude, revolved, sweep intersect etc. Understand the way the parametric CAD model works. Create models for Numerical Control (CNC) and test the NC-code on a 3-axes CNC-machine. Create advanced 3D-models (advanced surface design). Interface to other CAD/CAM system, Robot, Finite-Element etc. Develope application in the CAD-system for different calculations – shaft calculations, bolt calculations etc with standard programming tools – c-program or pascal.
