| Principal Content : | Structural behaviour of bridges and choice of structural materials . Loads on bridges. Bridge, superstructure: Struc tural design. Lay out of Cross Section. Calculation of internal forces and Bearing Capacity for beams and slabs in reinforced and prestressed concrete. Bridge, substructure: Columns (with influens of moments and normal forces, M-N-diagrams), foundations and supports. Bridge, equipment: Baerings, expansion joints, isolation. Construction of bridges under consideration of the existing conditions. Repair and maintenance of bridges. |

| Teaching method : | Prsentations and assignments. Students presentations and discussions. Self tuition. In Project works the students are working in groups of 2-3 persons. In one of the Project works the subject is chosen by the student, to be approved by the professor |
