| Principal Content : | Probability; discrete and continuous stochastic variables; descriptive analysis of data including visualization; binomial, uniform and normal distribution; sample mean and standard error; confidence intervals; testing a hypothesis; significance test; the t- distribution; linear and logistic regression including model verification; least squares; non-parametric tests; clinical measurements; mortality statistics; quality control. | ||
| Teaching method : | Sessions in class with active participation by the students. The time will be divi-ded between lectures and the students solving problems, including solving statis-tical problems in the open source language R. | ||
| Required prequisites : | Documented knowledge corresponding to the first year mathematics level. | ||
