| Principal Content : | Structural behaviour of bridges and choice of structural materials. Loads on bridges. Bridge, superstructure: Structural design. Lay out of Cross Section. Calculation of internal forces and Bearing Capacity for beams and slabs in reinforced and Prestressed concrete. Bridge, substructure: Columns (with influents of moments and normal forces, M-N-diagrams), foundations and supports. Bridge, equipment: Bearings, expansion joints, insulation. Repair and maintenance of bridges. Working with a chosen bridge renovation project. |

| Teaching method : | Class teaching and project works. Self tuition. In Project works the students are working in groups of 2-4 persons. In one of the Project works the subject is chosen by the students to be approved by the professor. Supervisors contribute to the group formation that integrates foreign and Danish students. |
