Principal Content : | The point of departure is previous semesters and the engineering internship (see course description for XIFT-U1)as well as contact to a company engaged in product development and preferably export activity in several markets. Under the heading "Business Concept Innovation," the students work in teams and conduct a project based on a real problem for the company. The project should address the following three areas: - Organization-particularly regarding information technology challenges - Business aspects (financial, marketing, sales, culture, and language) - Intrapreneurial aspects-with respect to innovation The focus is on the interdependence of the three areas. The project is manifested in an oral presentation, rather than a written report: the students" recommendation to the company. |

Teaching method : | The students work in teams of 4-6 students per team. The students are expected to find a company to work with, e.g. a traineeship company, and jointly identify a change management project for the company. This could be about implementing technology, customer-market oriented issues, or other business optimization topics. The full-time project period is five weeks after 10 weeks of theory (please see XIFT-U1). Foreign language classes, however, continue during the five-week period. |
